Technology Update – Raman Microscopy Enhances Ore Characterization, July 2025

This week, our innovation team introduced Raman microscopy into our copper and iron characterization workflow—marking a major step forward in precision mineral analysis. This advanced technique allows us to identify mineral phases at the microscale without destructive sampling, improving both geological understanding and metallurgical planning.

Early results show faster detection of alteration zones, more accurate mapping of copper sulfides and iron oxides, and a significant reduction in laboratory waste. By integrating Raman microscopy into our exploration and processing strategies, we continue strengthening our commitment to smarter, cleaner, and more efficient mining.
